Wrongful Conviction Day: One Week Away

Wrongful Conviction Day is a day to raise awareness of the causes and remedies of wrongful conviction and to recognize the tremendous personal, social, and emotional costs of wrongful conviction for innocent people and their families.

On October 2, 2019, join us in building a global movement to help right these wrongs. Click here to take the pledge to fix the system.

This Wrongful Conviction Day, we want to help fix the criminal justice system by raising awareness about the role that racial bias plays in wrongful convictions. The Innocence Network includes 68 independent organizations, spread across the United States and around the globe, helping alleviate the flaws in the criminal justice system.

Over the next week, we will share the six main causes of wrongful convictions, each illustrated by one of MAIP’s cases.
