13th Annual Awards Luncheon Honoree Spotlight: Amazon

At our 13^th Annual Awards Luncheon this year, Amazon will receive the Defender of Innocence Award. Amazon’s legal department is one of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project’s most important pro-bono partners. Over the past few years, 120 Amazon lawyers in more than 14 countries have spent countless hours screening, evaluating, and litigating cases for MAIP. No other company or law firm has devoted more people, time, and resources to our work. Amazon’s generous help has significantly alleviated MAIP’s workload, freeing up time and resources to review more wrongful conviction cases and reach more innocent clients. MAIP is incredibly grateful for the invaluable time and expertise that Amazon has committed to preventing and correcting wrongful convictions. We cannot imagine a more deserving recipient of the Defender of Innocence Award.
